Hi

A friend of the family's and researcher for Novartis in Switzerland told me about this website.  Looks like I'm not alone in the boat!  Advice that I have been given from a friend in the industry for nine years is to network with people and try to get a referral from someone within the company you are applying to.  Apparently you can post resumes all day long but in the end it is who you know.  I have applied many times and had only two interviews, one I know I came close since I had such a good referral from an employee, but in the end figured it was someone who had more experience that got the job.  It is very frustrating!! I have a BA in Communications and currently teach.  I only have 6 months of B2B sales experience with durable medical equipment.  I'm trying to stay positive!!

After 15 years in the industry I have started my own pharmaceutical consultng firm and would like to know if anyone out there is aware of any companies looking for a consultant due to recent FDA troubles, or continuous quality improvement initiatives.  My web site is located in a link below.

I have recently created a new survey on this site called Deploying the Validation Master Plan.  I would love your opinions.  Its pretty brief -- only 10 questions, and its to gather data on the latest trend in pharmaceutical manufacturing.  Please take a few minutes to complete my survey.  I will publish the results of the survey in approximately two weeks.

Are you looking for biotech job? I was and I was having a really hard time finding one. Until, that is, I found http://www.BiotechCrossing.com. That web site really helped in my job search. It lists hundreds of great biotech jobs - the most i've ever seen. If you are in the same situation as I was, it might be of help

i am on the board of a 50 year old non-profit called Care Link.

http://www.carelink-svs.org/about.html

I'm seeking to establish a partnership with firms wanting access to schizo-affective disorder patients.

We have residential facilities in Delaware, New Jersey and Southeastern PA. These facilities would provide access and compliance monitoring for patients on any drug regimen.

Since this is a non-profit there are obvious "promotional" tax related benefits to firms supporting our work dedicated to facilitating the transition from institutionalization to independent living.

If you can help please reach to me at msamet1@verizon.net

many thanks in advance for the compassion I know the industry is capable of providing.

Subject: Eli Lilly Interview- Any tips?

Hi Everyone,

I am currently trying to break into the Pharmaceutical Sales industry after working in a part time administrative role in manufacturing product sales during college and 18 months working as a newspaper advertising sales manager following graduation.

I have a phone interview with Eli Lilly this week and wanted to see if anyone has any advice for this particular company.  I have been involved with interview training but I would love to hear any suggestions from people who have interviewed with Eli Lilly, previously worked as or are currently working as an Eli Lilly sales rep.

Any comments and/or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!

If you are a seasoned sales professional from the pharmaceutical and health care industries who is excited about new advances in skincare and wishes to work from home, this is an opportunity you will be very interested in. The famous founders of this leading skincare company have achieved brilliant success as the developers of the world renowned acne treatment which found its way to millions of households through infomercials. These famous dermatologists have now launched a new direct selling skincare company addressing common skin conditions from acne to anti-aging for the whole family. This is a new direct selling company with no limit to what your income or team building potential can be.

The ideal independent consultants will have a strong desire for direct selling and have good communication skills. Computer and internet skills are necessary for online training and consultant/customer support tools. Although sales experience is not a requirement, consultants should be willing to learn, flexible, confident, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed. The element that is going to grow your business is one to one networking with anyone who is interested in the skincare solutions. You should also be willing to teach and mentor others who will hear your message and want to join your team, so good leadership and organization skills are very important. Since you are working independently, persistence, creativity, consistency, strong desire, and a strong work ethic will be necessary to succeed. You will rewarded with an excellent direct selling commission plan with limitless income earning potential and rewards as you attain levels of leadership in the company.

Please send your resume to recruitskincare@gmail.com and I will send you more information about the business opportunity.

Subject: Breaking In to the Industry!
Visible to: Public - Everyone

Hello, My name is Allyson, I am a 29 year old college graduate with a BA in Communication. I am married to a high level Medical Sales rep who sells the Da Vinci Surgical Robot for Intuitive. My husband has been trying to get me to break into the pharmaceutical industry since I graduated from college 5 years ago, and I am just now listening! I started right out of college in outside business to business sales for a staffing agency-I did not enjoy it. I got a lot of sales experience which was really good, I just didn't like selling people! They don't always show up for work! So after working for the staffing agency I went to work for one of the BIG 5 consulting firms-it was boring! I sat behind a computer all day and only interacted with men (mostly) who were very into rewriting software applications-not the right place for a high energy, self motivated, people person! The money was good so I stayed until one day I thought I was going to die with boredom and decided to change my career altogether. I went back to school this time to get my esthetician license. The road was a rocky one mainly because I was in a trade school, so it was too easy and I was with people who were not at my education or professional level. I just wanted my license and my passion lies within skin care, beauty, and working with people. I always knew going into the industry that I wanted to work with doctors, mainly dermatologist and plastic surgeons. This is what I am doing now, I work for a large aesthetic medical group in San Diego. I love the business, but not necessarily my role in the business. I see pharmaceutical reps come in to drop off products or samples and I think "that should be me." I am an outgoing, friendly, attractive, smart, money motivated people person-why should I not have a pharmaceutical job? What I really want to do now that I have paid some dues and figured out my calling is to sell to dermatologist. Why? Because I have a passion and knowledge for skin care, aesthetics, and helping others. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, a little overwhelmed on where to start, and ready to get going! My medical sales rep husband is the one who gave me the extra push, now I am listening. I hope to network and meet people who can guide me and give me advice through this website. I believe through my various experiences that this is the industry where I will thrive!
